HTC teases launch of a new smartphone: Details here
HTC is all set to make a comeback in the Indian smartphone market with its new handset. The company has posted a video on Twitter highlighting the company's achievements over the last decade and hinting at the arrival of a new smartphone with a waterdrop notch. Reportedly, the smartphone could be Desire 19+ which was launched in Taiwan in June this year.

HTC Desire 19+: At a glance
To recall, the Desire 19+ sports a dewdrop notched design with an ultra-slim bezel at the bottom while on the rear, it houses vertically stacked triple cameras and a physical fingerprint sensor. Further, the smartphone sports a 6.2-inch LCD display with HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and 271ppi pixel density.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
On the imaging front, the HTC Desire 19+ houses a triple rear camera setup comprising a 13MP (f/1.9) primary sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP (f/2.2) depth sensor. Up front, the phone comes with a 16MP (f/2.0) single selfie camera. Moreover, both the front and rear cameras can record 1080p videos at 30fps.
Here's a look at the internals
The HTC Desire 19+ is powered by a Mediatek Helio P35 octa-core processor, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of expandable storage. The handset runs Android Pie with HTC Sense on top and packs a 3,850mAh battery with 10W fast-charging support. Lastly, it packs all the standard sensors and connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, and headphone jack.
Finally, what about pricing?
The HTC Desire 19+ costs TWD 9,990 (approximately Rs. 22,100) for the 4GB/64GB variant and TWD 10,990 (approximately Rs. 24,300) for the 6GB/128GB storage model. However, given the price-sensitive nature of the Indian market, we expect it to arrive at around Rs. 15,000 in the country.
