    What's the story

    Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has launched its mid-budget smartphones, the HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+, in India.

    The Desire 12 has been priced at Rs. 15,800, while the Desire 12+ will cost Rs. 19,790.

    Both smartphones are available for pre-ordering via the HTC India e-store starting today and will go on sale across India from June 11.

    HTC Desire 12: At a glance

    The Desire 12 features a 5.5-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and acrylic glass back.

    It is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.

    The Desire 12 supports dual-SIM (Nano) cards, runs Android-based HTC Sense and packs a 2,730mAh battery.

    The Desire 12 get a single 13-megapixel f/2.2 BSI sensor on the back with Phase Detection Autofocus and LED flash. On the front, you get a 5-megapixel f/2.4 BSI sensor.

    In terms of connectivity, the phone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

    Sensors on board include a proximity sensor, ambient light, motion G-sensor, and a magnetic sensor.

    The HTC Desire 12+ sports a 6-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and an acrylic glass back.

    Under the hood, it gets an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 2TB).

    It supports dual-SIM (Nano) cards, runs Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC Sense on top and packs a 2,965mAh battery.

    HTC Desire 12+: Camera specs and features

    The HTC Desire 12+ gets a dual rear-camera setup which comprises a 13-megapixel BSI primary sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. The camera setup gets an f/2.2 aperture and offers features including Bokeh mode, Face detection, and Panorama mode.

    On the front, the phone gets an 8-megapixel BSI camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and supports features such as Beauty mode and HDR.
