HP Omen 15, Pavilion 15 gaming laptops launched in India
The market for gaming laptops is fast evolving. And as the latest entrants, HP has introduced HP Pavilion 15 and HP Omen 15 gaming laptops in India. HP Pavilion 15 comes at a starting price of Rs. 74,990, while the HP Omen 15 will be available at Rs. 1,05,990 onwards. Both the laptops are available across HP's online and offline partners. What is the HP Omen 15 offering?
The HP Omen 15 features a 15.6-inch UHD IPS anti-glare display with 300nits of brightness and 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an 8th-gen Intel Core i7-8750H processor paired with 8GB/16GB RAM (upgradeable up to 32GB) and 1TB HDD along with 128GB PCIe NVMe SSD. For graphics performance, you have three options - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti, GTX 1060, or GTX 1070.
The HP Omen 15 gets color-zoned RGB backlit keyboard
The HP Omen comes with a color-zoned RGB backlit keyboard, Bang and Olufsen speakers and supports Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, MU-MIMO, and Miracast. In terms of connectivity ports, the laptop gets 3xUSB 3.1 ports, 1xUSB Type-C, 1xMini-Display Port, 1xHDMI (v2.0), RJ-45 port and headphone jack.
HP Pavilion 15: At a glance
The HP Pavilion 15 features a 15.6-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) IPS panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 220nits brightness, and pixel density of 144ppi. The laptop is powered by 8th-gen Intel Core processors (options ranging from i5-8300H up to Core i7-8750H) paired with up to 4GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti. Other specs include 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, and 128GB PCIe SSD (on top-models).
Connectivity ports and battery on the HP Pavilion 15
The HP Pavilion 15 comes with Bang and Olufsen speakers and packs a 52.5Whr battery which supports fast charging. In terms of connectivity ports, the laptop gets 1xUSB 3.1 Type-C (first gen), 3xUSB 3.1 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI v2.0 and an RJ-45 port.
HP has also launched Omen gaming accessories
HP has also introduced Omen-branded gaming accessories which will be available from this month. These accessories include Omen Sequencer keyboard which is priced at Rs. 10,999, Omen Reactor mouse which costs Rs. 3,499, and Omen Transceptor backpack which is listed at Rs. 11,999. Currently available are the Omen Mouse 600 and Mouse 800 which are priced at Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 6,999, respectively.
