Android users are in luck; iPhone users, not so much
Let's start with phones. Firstly, iPhone users, you're out of luck here - there aren't legitimate methods of setting up multiple WhatsApp accounts on iOS. However, for Android users, there are various methods, including manufacturer-specific ones. Manufacturers like OPPO, Xiaomi, Honor, and Vivo offer in-built methods of setting up multiple WhatsApp accounts. For other manufacturers of Android devices, there are different methods.
How to enable multiple accounts on OPPO, Honor, Xiaomi devices
For OPPO, Xiaomi, and Honor, first install WhatsApp from the Google PlayStore. Then, head to 'Settings' and tap on 'Dual Apps' (Xiaomi), or 'App Twin' (Honor), or 'Clone App' (OPPO), depending on your device manufacturer. You'll see a list of supported apps, and a toggle feature to turn on cloning. Turn the toggle on for WhatsApp and you're free to use multiple accounts.
How to get multiple WhatsApp accounts on Vivo devices
For Vivo users, the procedure is slightly different. First, go to 'Settings', find 'App Clone', and tap it. Then, toggle the available switch to enable 'Display the Clone' button. Next, install WhatsApp from the Google PlayStore. Once installed, long-press on WhatsApp to see a '+' icon, tap the icon to clone WhatsApp, and you're good to go.
How to enable WhatsApp cloning on other Android devices
In case you don't have manufacturer support for app cloning on your Android device, there's an easy work around. While there are plenty of apps and methods, the most recommended one is Parallel Space. Open the app, select the apps you want to clone, and tap 'Add to Parallel Space'. Once you've cloned WhatsApp, set up your second account.
