Manage multiple Aadhaar profiles from one app: Here's how
The mAadhaar app, made by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), is a super-easy-to-use mobile app that lets you carry your Aadhaar info digitally. You can download eAadhaar, update your profile, and even lock or unlock your biometric data. Interestingly, the app also allows you to create and manage up to five different Aadhaar profiles, all in one place. Here's how to setup and manage multiple Aadhaar profiles.
How to get started with mAadhaar app?
To get rolling with the mAadhaar app, first, download and install it from the Play Store or App Store. After that, open the app and log in using your Aadhaar number or Virtual ID (VID). You'll then have to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number for verification. Once you're done, your Aadhaar details will pop up on the app's dashboard.
Adding family members' profiles
Once you're logged in, you can add profiles for up to four family members. Just head to the "Profile Section," tap on "Add Profile," and then enter your family member's Aadhaar number or scan their Aadhaar card's QR code. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to their Aadhaar for verification. After you enter the OTP in the app, their profile will pop up in your mAadhaar app.
Accessing and managing profiles
Switching between profiles is a breeze! Just head to the profile section and pick the one you need. You can even snag a digital copy of their Aadhaar card, update their address or other details, lock or unlock their biometrics for extra security, and share their Aadhaar QR code right away for verification. Just a heads-up: every family member needs a mobile number linked to their Aadhaar to get the OTP during verification.
A secure solution for managing Aadhaar profiles
The mAadhaar app isn't just easy to use; it's also secure. It uses a two-factor authentication system to keep your info safe. This makes it a reliable option for handling sensitive Aadhaar data. And the cherry on top? You can check out all your Aadhaar details whenever you want—even when you're offline! So, say goodbye to switching between multiple apps or login and manage your entire family's Aadhaar profiles all from one spot.
