iPhone Mirroring stuck on your old device? Here's the fix
Apple's latest operating system, macOS Sequoia, has introduced a new feature known as iPhone Mirroring. This innovative tool allows users to operate their iPhones directly from their Macs. However, some users who have recently upgraded their iPhones have encountered an issue, where the mirroring feature continues to connect with their previous device.
A bridge between Mac and iPhone
iPhone Mirroring is a significant addition to macOS Sequoia and iOS 18. It enables users to access apps exclusive to their iPhones, directly from their Macs. Additionally, it synchronizes notifications between the two devices, enhancing user convenience. However, this feature may default to an old iPhone if it has not been reset after purchasing a new one.
Solution to syncing issue
The solution to this issue is straightforward and can be found within the macOS settings. Users need to open System Settings on their Mac running macOS Sequoia, navigate to the "Desktop & Dock" section, and then scroll down to the sub-section titled "Widgets." Here, they will find an option that allows them to select which iPhone their desktop widgets and iPhone Mirroring should sync from.
