Jio is offering free live-streaming of World Cup matches
Passing on yet another attractive benefit to all its users, Jio has partnered with Hotstar to offer live streaming of Cricket World Cup for free. Notably, Hotstar is the only OTT platform that is streaming live matches but under a paid subscription plan. Additionally, the telco has also announced a new recharge pack and a "Jio Cricket Play Along" contest. Here's everything to know.
How to stream World Cup matches for free on Jio
If you are a Jio user, you can live stream all the matches of World Cup for free via the JioTV app. To get started, Open JioTV app and go to Categories and then Sports section. Under this menu, find and tap on Hotstar. This will redirect you to the Hotstar app and you'll be able to live stream all matches for free.
Jio has also introduced a new prepaid plan for users
If you plan to stream these matches on your phone, you will probably need a good data pack this cricket season. And, if you are a Jio user, the all-new Rs. 251 plan is the right one for you. This new plan, valid for 51 days, offers 102GB 4G data for the entire duration i.e 2GB data per day.
Jio is also running a "Jio Cricket Play Along" contest
Separately, Jio has once again introduced its "Jio Cricket Play Along" contest. Under this contest, which is accessible via MyJio app, you have the option to join up to 5 rooms (based on offers) for every match and create your team to win exciting prizes. Moreover, you can also predict the winner of the toss to win extra points.

For today's India vs South Africa as well as Bangladesh and New Zealand matches, Jio is hosting four rooms with a maximum limit of 1,00,000 participants in each room. The rooms are categorized on the basis of prizes which include flat Rs. 100 off on Lenskart, flat 63% off on OYO Rooms, Rs. 200 discount on Ajio, and upto Rs. 200 off on Myntra.
