Honor's budget-friendly Play 4T series smartphones go official
After several leaks and rumors, Huawei's sub-brand Honor has officially launched the Play 4T Pro and Play 4T smartphones in China. The former comes with a waterdrop notched design, triple rear camera setup, and an in-display fingerprint sensor, while the latter sports a punch-hole display, a dual camera module, and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. A look at both the smartphones
The Honor Play 4T Pro sports a waterdrop notch, featuring a 6.3-inch OLED screen with a Full-HD+ resolution, while the Play 4T gets a punch-hole design with 6.39-inch HD+ LCD display and 19:9 aspect ratio. The Pro model is offered in Black, Emerald Green, and Icelandic Vision color options, and the standard Play 4T is available in Black and Blue colors.

The Honor Play 4T Pro houses a triple-lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP primary sensor, coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the Play 4T gets a dual camera module featuring a 48MP primary camera and 2MP portrait lens. For selfies, the Pro model gets a 16MP front-facing snapper, and the Play 4T sports an 8MP front camera.
Under the hood
The Play 4T Pro is fueled by a Kirin 810 octa-core processor, while the Play 4T draws power from a Kirin 710A chipset. These phones offer up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, they run on Android 10-based Magic UI 3.1 and pack a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support (only on Pro model) via USB Type-C port.

As for the pocket-pinch the Honor Play 4T Pro costs CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 16,000) for the entry-level 6GB/128GB variant and CNY 1,699 (approximately Rs. 18,400) for the 8GB/128GB model. On the other hand, the standard Play 4T is priced at CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs. 13,000) for the solo 6GB/128GB variant.
