HONOR Magic4 Ultimate debuts as the 'world's best camera smartphone'
HONOR has announced Magic4 Ultimate as the latest addition to its Magic4 line-up of premium smartphones in China. The handset will be available for purchase later this year at a price of CNY 8,000 (roughly Rs. 96,000). DXOMark has adjudged Magic4 Ultimate as the best camera smartphone ever, awarding it 146 points to beat previous leader Huawei P50 Pro by two points.

HONOR Magic4 Ultimate is based on the Magic4 Pro but boasts upgraded camera hardware to justify its 'Ultimate' tag. The handset has beaten some heavyweights to top DXOMARK's camera tests and has hence, become a crucial product for the company which is trying to cement its place in the competitive market as it is no longer a part of Huawei.
It has a 120Hz OLED display
The Magic4 Ultimate has a pill-shaped cut-out on the top-left corner with curved screen edges and an under-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear, the ceramic body houses a massive, octagonal camera setup. The handset offers IP68 dust and water resistance, and features a 6.81-inch Full-HD+ (1312x2848 pixels) OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The device comes in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White color options.
The handset has a 50MP main camera
The Magic4 Ultimate has a 50MP (f/1.6) primary sensor having a size of 1/1.12-inch along with a 64MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor, a 64MP (f/3.5) periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP (f/2.0) Spectrum Enhanced camera. It also has a ToF 3D depth sensor and a flicker sensor on the back. Up front, there is a 12MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide camera and a ToF 3D depth sensor.
The handset runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset
The HONOR Magic4 Ultimate is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It runs on Android 12-based Magic UI 6 and packs a 4,600mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast-charging. On the connectivity front, it gets support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, UWB, Infrared port, and a Type-C port.
