Honor 9i (2018) could launch in India on July 24
Honor is expected to launch a new smartphone in India and has sent out invites for an event scheduled for July 24. While the official invite doesn't reveal the upcoming phone's name, it does read '#NoOrdinaryBeauty'. Moreover, rumors suggest this new Honor phone could either be Honor 9X i.e rebranded Honor 9i 2018 or Honor Play. Here's more.
What does the official invite tell us?
The invite reads 'No Ordinary Beauty' in Blue and Purple colors, hinting at the two possible color variants of the upcoming mobile. Moreover, a recent company teaser showed two 'O's to suggest that the phone will feature a dual camera setup. Further, this upcoming smartphone could either be Honor 9i 2018 or Honor Play, considering these are the newest smartphones unveiled by the company.

The phone gets an octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, paired with a built-in Neural Processing Unit, up to 6GB RAM, GPU Turbo technology and 64GB of storage (expandable up to 256GB) It runs Android Oreo 8.1-based EMUI 8.2 and packs a 3,750mAh battery.
Honor Play: Camera specs
The Honor Play features a dual camera setup comprising a 16-MP f/2.2 primary lens with Phase Detection Auto Focus and a 2-MP f/2.4 secondary lens. Up front, the phone gets a 16-MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture and AI-powered features.
