Honor 8A specifications, price leaked ahead of January 8 launch
As the successor to last year's Honor 7A, the Huawei-owned brand is working to launch the Honor 8A in China. The phone, set to go official on January 8, has been leaked in full glory by tipster Ishan Agarwal. As per the tip-off, the Honor 8A will come with a waterdrop notched display, a single rear camera, and mid-level internals. Here's our roundup.

According to official renders, the phone will come with a waterdrop notched display with a prominent bottom bezel - a welcome change over Honor 7A's conventional rectangular screen. On the back, the Honor 8A will feature a single rear camera and a dual-tone color finish. Moreover, the handset is said to sport a 6.09-inch HD+ (720x1560 pixels) IPS display with 283ppi pixel density.

According to the leak, the Honor 8A will come with a single 13MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and Phase Detection Autofocus. In comparison, the Honor 7A featured a 13MP+2MP dual rear-camera. Up front, the Honor 8A will feature an 8MP camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture - same as the Honor 7A.
Under the hood
The Honor 8A will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 512GB). Further, the leak suggests that the phone will support dual-SIMs, packs a 3,020mAh battery, and run Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0.
