Honor 7A, Honor 7C with Face Unlock, dual rear-cameras launched
Expanding its portfolio of budget smartphones, Huawei-own Honor brand has launched Honor 7A and Honor 7C in India. Both phones come with Face Unlock feature, dual rear-cameras and will take on the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5A in the under Rs. 10,000 price segment. 7A and 7C share similar specs but have minor differences in screen sizes and processors. Honor 7A: At a glance
The Honor 7A features a 5.7-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage that's expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. With support for dual-SIM (Nano), Honor 7A runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 and packs a 3,000mAh battery.
What does Honor 7C have to offer?
The Honor 7C offers a 5.99-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor, paired with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) Like the Honor 7A, 7C gets dual-SIM (Nano) card support, Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0, and packs a 3,000mAh battery.
Honor 7A and Honor 7C offer same dual rear-cameras
In terms of optics, both the Honor 7A and Honor 7C offer a dual rear-camera setup comprising a primary 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. However, there's a slight difference in their front cameras. On the front, the Honor 7A sports an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a soft selfie light while the Honor 7C gets a wider f/2.0 aperture.
Both phones offer same connectivity options and onboard sensors
In terms of connectivity options, both Honor 7A and Honor 7C offer 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack. As far as sensors are concerned, both the phones include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Further, both Honor 7A and Honor 7C offer Face Unlock feature as well.
Other common features on Honor 7A and Honor 7C
Both the phones come with Huawei Histen 3D sound effects, a new Ride Mode, and Paytm fingerprint single touch access. Moreover, Honor has also offered a Party Mode that allows users to connect to several phones and play music together for louder single output.
Honor 7A is Flipkart exclusive, Honor 7C is Amazon exclusive
The Honor 7A costs Rs. 8,999 will go on sale via Flipkart from May 29 (12pm). The Honor 7C comes in 3GB RAM/32GB and 4GB RAM/64GB variant and costs Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 11,999 respectively. It will be available Amazon India from May 31 (12pm). Moreover, both the smartphones come in Black, Blue, and Gold colors, and will also be available via HiHonor online store.

In terms of launch offers, Honor 7A and 7C buyers will get Rs. 2,200 cashback from Reliance Jio. Moreover, Honor 7A buyers will get 50GB additional free data, while the Honor 7C buyers will be entitled to 100GB of free data.
