Honor 30S, with 64MP quad camera and 5G support, launched
After several leaks and rumors, Huawei's sub-brand Honor has launched its premium mid-ranger, the Honor 30S, in China. The handset comes with a punch-hole design, a 64MP quad camera, 5G support, and a 4,000mAh battery with 40W fast charging technology. However, the Chinese tech giant has not revealed the details about the availability of the phone in international markets yet.
A look at the Honor 30S
The Honor 30S comes with an all-glass design featuring an edge-to-edge screen with a small display cut-out at the top left corner and a prominent bezel at the bottom. The phone sports a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Apart from that, it offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for secure biometric authentication.

The Honor 30S houses a quad camera setup comprising a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 8MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and another 2MP (f/2.4) portrait lens. Up front, the phone houses a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper. Moreover, the main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while the front camera can record Full-HD videos at 30fps.
Under the hood
The Honor 30S draws power from a 5G-ready Kirin 820 5G processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 10-based Magic UI 3.1.1 but lacks support for Google services. Further, the phone packs a 4,000mAh battery with 40W fast charging support and gets all the standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VoLTE, and a headphone jack.

The Honor 30S is available with 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations. The former is priced at CNY 2,399 (approximately Rs. 25,500), while the latter costs CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs. 28,700). Meanwhile, there is no word on the availability of the handset in international markets yet.
