Budget-friendly Nokia Android smartphone will get Oreo
Nokia 2 comes with a 5-inch LTPS HD (720 x 1280 pixel) resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). It runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and would receive Android 8.0 Oreo update. It is available in Copper Black, Pewter Black, and Pewter White colors.
Nokia 2 launch offers
Nokia 2 buyers can enjoy various launch offers. Reliance Jio subscribers get 45GB extra 4GB data with recharges of Rs. 309 and above (5GB additional data per recharge; capped at nine recharges). Buyers would be eligible for a complimentary 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance by Servify. To avail this, customers need to open a Kotak 811 savings account with an initial deposit of Rs. 1000.
Decent optics considering the price point
Nokia 2 comes with an 8MP camera on the rear with autofocus and LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for clicking selfies. The cameras on the device are pretty decent, considering its low price.
First budget segment phone with Google Assistant
The latest Nokia device supports Google Assistant, the first smartphone in the entry-level segment to come with the personal assistant. Nokia 2 houses a massive 4,100mAh battery that offers a long battery life. The device maker promises a two-day battery life with just a single charge. Coming to the connectivity options, it supports 4G VoLTE and has a 3.5mm headphone jack and Micro-USB.
Device is splash proof with IP52 rating
The Nokia 2 comes with hybrid dual SIM (Nano) functionality, which means that the hybrid slot can also be used for expanding the storage up to 128GB via microSD card. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, digital compass, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The device also comes with IP52 certification, meaning it is protected against dust and vertical water dripping.
