HMD Global has finally launched the much-awaited Nokia 2 smartphone at 99 (around Rs. 7,500) in an event in India. The "affordable" Nokia device would go on sale from mid-November. Most affordable Nokia Android smartphone till date
Nokia 2 comes with a 5-inch LTPS HD (720 x 1280 pixel) resolution display It is powered by a Quad-core 1.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. Additionally, the phone would also receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update. It is also the most affordable smartphone by Nokia till date.
Nokia 2 provides two-day battery life: HMD Global
Nokia 2 comes with Google Assistant support, making it the first smartphone in the entry-level segment to feature the personal assistant. Another highlight of the latest Nokia phone is its massive 4100mAh battery, which is expected to provide an "outstanding" battery life. HMD Global promised a two-day battery life. The device would be available in Copper Black, Pewter Black, and Pewter White colors.
Decent cameras for its price
Nokia 2 houses a 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP selfie shooter, which are pretty decent considering its price. HMD Global's Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas, stated that they have ensured that "the photos are optimized for the best possible effect."
Nokia 2 offers IP52 splash proof protection
The Nokia 2 supports hybrid dual-SIM (Nano) functionality. The hybrid slot can be used for expanding the storage up to 128GB via microSD card. The device supports 4G VoLTE and has a 3.5mm headphone jack and Micro-USB for connectivity. The built-in sensors include digital compass, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. Also, it is IP52-certified (protection against dust and vertical water dripping).
