The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched Aadhaar Update History, a new feature that allows users to see/download date-wise details of any updates made in their credentials. What is Aadhaar Update History feature?
According to UIDAI sources, the Aadhaar Update History feature shows date-wise details of any updates made in your personal information on the Aadhaar since its generation. These updates include changes in address, and other fields such as name, date of birth, gender, or addition/deletion of mobile or email. Notably, UIDAI has currently introduced the beta version of this feature.
Here's how you can download your Aadhaar Update History
To download your Aadhaar Update History, go to the UIDAI website and click on 'Aadhaar Update History'. Then you'll be redirected to a new webpage where you need to fill the Aadhaar number/Virtual ID (VID) and captcha. You will then receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and after entering the OTP, you will be able to see/download/print your Aadhaar Update History.
You can now validate any changes made in your Aadhaar
Over time, we shift to various cities for work or studies and while we can get those details updated on Aadhaar, we didn't really have a recorded history of such updates. And that changes with Aadhaar Update history. Moreover, for applying in colleges or for a passport or other services, where your previous record is needed, this feature will be handy.
