As we inch closer to the expected September launch of the 2018 iPhones, more and more leaks are coming our way. In the latest development, dummy units of the upcoming iPhones have been shared in a hands-on video by YouTuber DetroitBORG. The video gives us a sneak peek into what to expect, and confirms key features of the 2018 iPhones. Here's more on this.
2018 iPhone line up: Unofficial naming
The 2018 line up of iPhones comprises three models - a new 5.8-inch iPhone (called 2018 iPhone X in the article), a new 6.1-inch iPhone (here referred to as iPhone 9) and a new 6.5-inch display which has been monikered as iPhone X Plus.
Everything about the 2018 iPhone X and iPhone X Plus
Both the 5.8-inch iPhone X and 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus will feature OLED displays while retaining the design of the 2017 iPhone X - a notched display, glass back, dual rear-cameras and a stainless steel frame. While on the outside there won't be any changes, both phones will come with the new 7nm A12 CPU, bumped up specs and improved Face ID.
What to expect from the 6.1-inch iPhone 9
The iPhone 9 will feature an LCD display and a notch that will hold the front camera and Face ID setup. Moreover, the phone will have a glass back with an aluminum frame - like iPhone 8. This variant is said to sport a single camera but with a seemingly larger module suggesting a bigger sensor. Lastly, this variant will also support dual-SIM cards.
