Samsung Galaxy S7 series finally arrives
The newly-launched Samsung smartphones, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge come with 4GB RAM and have liquid-cooling-technology to prevent over-heating. The hardware of both the devices is similar. Galaxy S7 Edge has 5.5-inch-display, whereas S7 has a 5.1-inch-display. S7 edge's powered by 3600mAh battery while S7 has a 3000mAh battery. Both the devices have 12MP rear and 5MP front cameras and are IP68 waterproof.
What is MWC?
'Mobile World Congress' is an annual meet for the mobile industry and mobile-related industries. The annual meet is conducted by Groupe Speciale Mobile Association (GSMA), which also organizes events like Mobile World Congress, Mobile World Congress Shanghai and the Mobile 360 Series conferences. This year, the Mobile World Congress would commence from 22 February to 25 February in the Mobile World Capital, Barcelona, Spain.
Top smartphone companies to take part
MWC, the largest mobile tradeshow of the year would be playing a big host to launch smartphones, tablets, accessories, wearables, VR gear, etc. Many of the much-awaited devices from HTC, Samsung, LG, Sony, Lenovo, HP, Microsoft, Huawei, Xiaomi, Motorola and other makers are expected to be launched. Google might spill the beans about the next Android version or other Android news.
Next edition of LG 'G'series
LG unveiled its latest G-series smartphone, the 'LG G5' at the World Mobile Congress 2016. The device features a full-metal body, first of the kind for LG, a 5.3-inch QHD-display, which is always on, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 4000 mAh battery, 20MP rear and 8MP front cameras and many more stunning features. It is said to be available in four variants.
Other devices launched by LG
LG launched a pocket-friendly 360-degree point-and-click camera called 360 CAM, which has dual 13MP cameras with 180-degree lenses. It also launched a VR headset and gear to control a drone pair-able to the G5.
The 'Samsung Galaxy Unpacked' launch event
Samsung announced the launch two of its much-awaited smartphones Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge which would be in the market by mid-March. Samsung also announced that pre-orders in some places would get a free Gear VR headset along with six games. Depending on the region, they would be available in two processor-variants, one with Exynos 8890, and other with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
Mark Zuckerberg's surprise appearance
Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg surprised everyone when he appeared at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. He conveyed that Facebook-owned company, Oculus was working together with Samsung to introduce 'Virtual Reality' to smartphones and social networking through their newly-launched Gear 360. Zuckerberg praised Samsung's effort and also stated that Samsung is the maker of the 'best mobile technology' in the world.
LG vs Samsung at MWC 2016
Both LG and Samsung are competing to steal the limelight and end up as the star of the MWC 2016 event with their launches. But, people already feel that LG launched a much superior device than Samsung.
