UMANG mobile app for finding genuine technical education courses
The sheer number of technical education institutes in India often fool students into enrolling for fake institutes. Several such students lose large amounts of money, time, and suffer other losses. To steer students clear of the peril, the Central government has released a mobile app, UMANG, where aspiring candidates can check whether an institute is genuine or not. But that's not all UMANG offers.
What the UMANG app is all about
The Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance (UMANG) app was launched last year with the intention of bringing government services to citizens' fingertips. The app allows users to access over 150 services from over 43 different government departments at the national, state, and regional levels. It also allows integration with Aadhaar, PayGov, and Digilocker, and offers customer support from 8am to 8pm daily.

Additionally, the app offers access to the e-Pathshala platform from where textbooks and other educational content in audio and video formats can be downloaded for classes 1-12. The idea is to make education more accessible through the internet.
