Confirmed: All these non-Pixel phones will get Google Stadia

    What's the story

Months after announcing Stadia, a dedicated platform for cloud gaming, Google has confirmed the list of phones that would get the service.

Originally, Stadia was only restricted to the Pixel line of devices, but now, the support has been expanded to include high-end models from Samsung and other brands as well.

Here is the complete list of all the supported phones.

    Samsung

All the latest flagships from Samsung

In a recent blog post, Google announced that Stadia would be coming to all the latest flagships from Samsung.

    This includes Galaxy S8, S8+, S8 Active, Note 8, S9, S9+, Note 9, S10, S10E, S10+, Note 10, Note 10+, S20, S20+, and the S20 Ultra.

The only phones not included here are the recently-launched affordable flagships - Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite.

    Other phones

Asus and Razer phones also included

Beyond Samsung, Google has included gaming phones from ASUS and Razer in the batch of Stadia-supported devices.

The list includes only a few models, which are Razer Phone, Razer Phone 2, ASUS ROG Phone, and Asus ROG Phone II.

It is not exactly clear when or if other gaming-specific smartphones, like Xiaomi Black Shark, will get support for the service.

    Details

Total 26 phones support Stadia, no iPhones yet

The addition of new models - combined with the currently supported Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3A, Pixel 3A XL, and Pixel 4 - means that Stadia will work on a total of 26 Android smartphones.

There's no word on support for iPhones and iPads as the Stadia for iOS still doesn't offer the option to play games.

    Games

120 new games promised for 2020

The move from Google comes just a few days after the company promised to bring over 120 games on Stadia throughout 2020.

Currently, Stadia has only a handful of titles, so adding dozens would certainly lure more takers.

However, do keep in mind that the service requires you to take a subscription and works on a strong Wi-Fi connection.
