You can now book flights, hotels on Google's search engine
Google has updated its Search platform to allow users to book flights and hotels directly through it. With this, the tech giant primarily aims to make it easier for mobile phone users to make travel plans without the hassle of going through multiple tabs or browsing through separate flight and hotel portals. Here is more on the update.
Swipe through hotel pictures, prices on Google Search
When a smartphone user now likes a hotel on Google Search, he will be able to swipe through its photographs without having to leave the search webpage, and along with seeing the list of other hotel results. Users will also be able to apply date and price filters in the search engine itself. The hotel options will be complete with a map view.
Similarly, compare and book flights through Google Search
For air travel searches too, users will be able to filter, compare, and book flights on the Google Search webpage. They will also be able to search by destination to get hotel and flight options specific to their requirements. Google has added a 'More Destinations' option that will suggest users nearby destinations that can be incorporated into their travel plans.
The search engine will also be compatible with Google Trips
People using Google Trips, an app that curates all your travel details, can also find their bookings and reservations on the search page, under a separate tab. With this, Google has brought users' all travel details at one place for easy reference.
Travelers can easily make last-minute changes through phone
While making plans, users will also be able to see options for additional services along their route by Google-approved companies. The major update in Google Search came after the company realized that more and more people are making travel plans on their smartphones. It also helps make last-minute changes seamlessly without the need for a desktop.
