Increased Pixel 5a inventory for India, local production also possible
Google is rethinking its smartphone business strategy with more focus on India than ever before. According to ET Telecom, the tech giant will increase the inventory of Pixel smartphones in India with the launch of Pixel 5a, which is tipped for June 11. Google is also likely to "shift a portion of manufacturing of the device to India for both domestic and export needs."

"Google doubled inventory for Pixel for India last year and this year the intention is to further increase the focus and get a larger share from global inventory for the India market," a senior company executive told ET Telecom.
Google Pixel 5a will offer an OLED screen
As far as its specifications are concerned, the Google Pixel 5a will sport a punch-hole design with a prominent bottom bezel and a plastic body. On the rear, it will pack a dual camera module and a physical fingerprint scanner. The handset will bear a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) OLED screen, possibly with a 90Hz or higher refresh rate.
It will pack an 8MP selfie snapper
The Google Pixel 5a will reportedly sport a dual rear camera unit comprising a 12.2MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, it will offer an 8MP front-facing camera.
It will be fueled by a Snapdragon 750G chipset
Google Pixel 5a will likely be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 750G processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Under the hood, it will run on Android 11 and pack a 3,480mAh battery with fast-charging support. For connectivity, the device should offer support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
Google Pixel 5a: Pricing and availability
The official pricing and availability details of the Google Pixel 5a will be announced at the time of the launch, which is said to happen on June 11. However, considering the expected specifications, the handset is likely to cost around Rs. 32,000.
