Google brings Pixel Watch 3, Buds Pro 2 to India
Google has introduced the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 in India. The third-generation smartwatch was revealed at the Made by Google hardware event, alongside the latest Pixel 9 series of smartphones. The watch is offered in two display sizes and promises up to 36 hours of battery life. It also features a peak brightness of up to 2,000-nits, twice as bright as its predecessor launched last year.
Pricing and availability
The Pixel Watch 3 is priced at ₹39,900 for the 41mm model with Wi-Fi connectivity, while the larger 45mm display model starts at ₹43,900. Both are available in Hazel, Obsidian, and Porcelain colors with an additional Pink shade for the smaller model. Pixel Buds Pro 2 is priced at ₹22,900 and comes in Aloe, Charcoal, Hot Pink, and Porcelain colors. Both devices will be available for purchase in India from August 22 via Flipkart, Reliance Digital and Croma retail outlets.
Advanced features and improved design
The Pixel Watch 3 is equipped with Google's Actua display technology and supports a peak brightness level of up to 2,000-nits. It also has bezels that are over 16% thinner than its predecessor. The smartwatch offers features such as complex run routine planning and displays details such as cadence, stride length, and vertical oscillation. It also supports new cardio load tracking features to help users focus on recovery.
Battery life and charging speed
The battery life of the Pixel Watch 3 remains unchanged, offering up to 24 hours of use with the always-on display mode enabled. With the battery saver mode enabled, the watch can deliver up to 36 hours of battery backup. The 41mm size variant of the Pixel Watch 3 supports a 20% faster charging rate than Google's second-generation smartwatch.
Pixel Buds Pro 2: Enhanced audio and smart features
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are equipped with an 11mm dynamic driver and a Tensor A1 chip for optimized music playback. Google says that the processor is 90 times faster than the speed of sound when processing audio, and is twice as effective at active noise cancellation (ANC) compared with the first-generation Pixel Buds Pro model. The earbuds also support seamless audio switching between Pixel devices, including the Pixel Watch.
Conversation detection and device tracking
The Conversation Detection feature in Pixel Buds Pro 2 pauses media playback, and enables transparency mode when the wearer is talking. It re-enables ANC and resumes playback when the conversation is completed. The TWS headset also offers support for Google's Find My Device network, showing them on a map, and permitting users to ring the earbuds and the charging case when they're nearby.
