Google Pixel Slate renders leaked: Design, specifications and features
On October 9, Google will unveil a host of new products including the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. And just like how the flagship smartphones have been leaked in the past, fresh renders of the all-new Pixel Slate have given away design and key features of the upcoming Google tablet. Here's everything we know about Google Pixel Slate.
Google Pixel Slate: At a glance
The Pixel Slate, which is codenamed 'Nocturne', was earlier leaked in a short video clip. And while the earlier leak did not showcase the full design, the latest renders leave very little for imagination. The tablet is seen having proportional bezels (possibly a 3:4 aspect ratio), a single camera up front and at the back, front-facing stereo speakers and a USB Type-C port.
Pixel Slate will come with a detachable keyboard and stylus
The upcoming Google tablet will offer tablet-cum-laptop experience by means of a detachable keyboard. As per the renders, the keyboard will feature round, typewriter-style keys and has a built-in trackpad as well. Further, the renders also reveal a color-coded stylus. The stylus looks similar to the ones we have seen before with the Pixel Book. Both the accessories may be offered as optional.
What else do we know about Pixel Slate?
These renders suggest Pixel Slate will run a newer version of Chrome OS which may support Android apps as well. As seen in the images, the UI has a back button and a centralized icon dock with rounded icons at the bottom. However, all speculations will be settled tomorrow when Google finally unveils its Pixel Slate alongside other products.
