Google Pixel 5a bags BIS certification, India launch confirmed
Google is expected to announce its Pixel 5a model on June 11. In the latest development, the handset has received BIS certification in India, confirming that it will be launched here as well. However, the official launch timeline is yet to be announced. The Pixel 5a will reportedly come with an OLED display, dual rear cameras, and stereo speakers. Here's our roundup.
The handset will sport a Full-HD+ display
Google Pixel 5a will have a punch-hole design with a prominent bottom bezel and a plastic body. On the rear, it will house a dual camera module and a physical fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will bear a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) OLED screen, possibly with a 90Hz or higher refresh rate. Dimensions-wise, it will measure at around 156.2x73.2x8.8mm.
It will offer an 8MP front camera
Google Pixel 5a will pack a dual rear camera setup comprising a 12.2MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, it will sport an 8MP selfie snapper.

Google Pixel 5a will be fueled by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset, combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will run on Android 11 and pack a 3,480mAh battery with fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity, the handset should offer support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
