This is what Pixel 3a XL might cost in India
Google is all set to launch its first-ever mid-range smartphones in India on May 8. Dubbed as Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, the new devices will arrive as stripped down versions of the flagship Pixel 3 models. However, these lower-cost phones will not come cheap, considering Pixel 3a XL, in its 6GB/64GB configuration, is tipped to cost Rs. 44,999. Here's more.
What does the leak say
According to an apparent Pixel 3a XL marketing poster, which was posted on SlashLeaks but soon "locked", the phone will cost Rs. 44,999 in India for the top-end 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model. If this is true, we can expect the lower spec-ed variants to sell for a cheaper price. Notably, the leak has also reiterated some key specifications of the XL model.
Meanwhile, here's Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL at a glance
As per renders, both phones will sport a notch-less rectangular display with prominent bezels, plastic chassis, and headphone jack. On the back, they'll feature a single camera, and fingerprint sensor - similar to Pixel 3 flagships. Reportedly, Pixel 3a will get a 5.6-inch AMOLED display with 1080x2220 pixels resolution while the Pixel 3a XL will get a larger 6-inch screen with 1080x2160 pixels resolution.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
As per leaks, both Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will come with a single 12.2MP rear camera and a single 8MP selfie snapper. These sensors are expected to be borrowed from the flagship range. Moreover, the lower-cost models will also offer Pixel 3's Night Sight low-light photography feature and may even support Google's Pixel Visual Core chip for improved image processing.
Under the hood
The Pixel 3a is tipped to come with a Snapdragon 670 chipset while Pixel 3a XL will get a Snapdragon 710 processor. Further, both models are likely to come with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. Moreover, they are likely to sport Pixel 3's "Active Edge" feature and pack a 3,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast-charging via a USB Type-C port.
