Ahead of Pixel3 launch, Pixel 2 XL has become cheaper
Just days before Google unveils its latest flagship smartphones, the company has reportedly slashed the price of Pixel 2 XL in India. According to a Mumbai-based electronics retailer Mahesh Telecom, the 64GB storage variant of Pixel 2 XL now costs Rs. 45,499 as against its launch price of Rs. 73,000. Here are the finer details.

Currently, only Pixel 2 XL's base model has received price-cut
Reportedly, the 64GB and 128GB variants of Pixel 2 and the top-end Pixel 2 XL (128GB variant) have not received any official price cuts. That said, as we move closer to the Pixel 3 launch, we can expect Google to reduce prices of its last year's flagship smartphones. Notably, the 128GB version of Pixel 2 XL is still priced at Rs. 83,000 (launch price).

Google Pixel 2 XL features a 6.0-inch QHD+ (1440x2880 pixels) P-OLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, Pixel 2 XL packs a 3,520mAh battery and now runs Android Pie 9.0. Further, the phone has dual front-firing speakers but lacks a headphone jack.
