Google Duo update release paused over call volume bug
What's the story
Google has paused the latest update of its video-calling app Duo after some Android users reported the issue of low volume levels during calls, with version v30 of the app.
Google has now rolled back to the earlier version (v29.2) for the users who are affected by the issue.
Once they install v29.2, their issue will be contained.
Here are more details.
Getting a fix
Google Duo v30 expected to release next week
Justin Uberti, Creator/Lead Engineer of Google Duo app has tweeted, "We understand the underlying issue and expect to resume v30 rollout later this week. Thanks for your patience!"
Notably, the Google Duo latest update (v29.2), with a fix for the low volume on calls issue is now available for everyone.
To Recall
What new features have been introduced in Duo recently?
To recall, back in January this year, Google had added a feature that allows users to call on Android phones that don't even have the app installed.
Also, earlier this month, Google introduced a video voicemail feature which essentially allows the users to leave a voicemail styled 30-second selfie video, when the contact misses or declines the call on the Duo app.
