Soon, Google Assistant will have list, note-taking capabilities
Google may soon integrate Assistant with a new web app dedicated for taking down notes or adding items to a particular list. Though Google Assistant is already capable of performing these tasks, it has to use third-party apps to accomplish it. The Google-branded web app, which has just been spotted by 9to5Google, could easily change that. Here are the details.
Google search app teardown reveals 'Lists and Notes'
The unofficial web app, named 'Lists and Notes', was first seen during a teardown of the latest beta version of Google's search app. Essentially, the team at 9to5Google found an Assistant-branded URL in the app's code, which redirected to the minimalistic web app. It is live at the moment and can be accessed from here: https://assistant.google.com/lists/mainview
Simple, material design-themed app
The web app carries a simple interface with a touch of material design and divides the page into two tabs - one for lists and the other for notes. There's a colored '+' sign at the bottom that lets you create a new list or note and add its title and content. The items on the list can also be marked off or deleted.
However, no word on official integration
Though we've seen Google's Lists and Notes web app, it is imperative to note that there's no word on when it would be officially integrated. Google's idea behind this app could be to serve people who don't want dedicated apps for jotting information. However, it remains unclear how it would help those who are already syncing data via Google Keep and Tasks.
