Google Analytics: News
Google Analytics is an online service offered by search giant Google under the Google Marketing Platform brand. The service was launched in November 2005 after Google acquired Urchin. Today, Google Analytics claims it can help you understand your site and app users to check the performance of your marketing, content, and products. The service has been tightly integrated into the Marketing Platform to work with Google advertising and publisher products so you can directly use the insights provided and tweak your usage of other Google products suitably. A key advantage of Google Analytics over Universal Analytics is that the former can be used for websites, apps, or both together while the latter can only be used to analyze websites. Additionally, Google handles a majority of the search traffic on the internet as of 2021, making Google Analytics a more accurate and effective tool to optimize one's website or app for search page indexing and engagement.
