OnePlus rolls out first OxygenOS update for its 9R handset
OnePlus has started releasing its first OxygenOS 11 update for the 9R smartphone in India. As per the changelog, the firmware improves the handset's charging stability, gallery loading speed, Wi-Fi hotspot performance, and the haptic feedback for Call of Duty Mobile game. It also fixes the delay in incoming calls while charging, and the abnormal change of incoming ringtones with two SIM cards.

The new software for the OnePlus 9R carries version number OxygenOS 11.2.1.1. It is currently being released via over-the-air (OTA) method and a broader roll-out is expected in the coming days. To manually check for the update, go to Settings> System> System updates.
OnePlus 9R bears a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display
As far as its specifications are concerned, the OnePlus 9R features a punch-hole design with slim bezels, a metal-glass body, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset sports a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Fluid AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. It is available in Carbon Black and Lake Blue color options.
It is equipped with a 48MP main camera
The OnePlus 9R houses a quad rear camera unit comprising a 48MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, a 16MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 5MP (f/2.4) macro shooter, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16MP (f/2.4) selfie snapper.
The device is backed by a Snapdragon 870 processor
The OnePlus 9R draws power from a Snapdragon 870 chipset, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Under the hood, it runs on Android 11 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support. The device also offers support for connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, 5G, and a Type-C port.
