Murati has already put together an impressive team for Thinking Machines Lab.
OpenAI co-founder John Schulman is heading research at the company, while former OpenAI leader Barrett Zoph has been appointed as the start-up's CTO.
Jonathan Lachman, who previously led OpenAI's special projects division, has also joined the venture.
Overall, Murati has hired around 10 top researchers and engineers from elite AI labs like OpenAI, Character. AI, and Google DeepMind.
