iPhone SE 4 will feature OLED display, launch in 2025
Apple is reportedly planning to equip its upcoming fourth-generation iPhone SE with an OLED display. This information comes from Nikkei Asia, which suggests that the tech giant has begun ordering these screens from BOE and LG Display. The move indicates a shift away from LCD technology for Apple's most affordable smartphone range. According to MacRumors, the firm will start production of the new iPhone SE next month. This move is in anticipation of an early 2025 release.
It will feature Face ID and single camera
The upcoming iPhone SE is expected to be housed in an iPhone 14 chassis, featuring a larger 6.1-inch display. In a departure from previous models, it may incorporate Face ID technology instead of Touch ID. The device is also rumored to include an Action Button. Consistent with past SE models, the new version will likely continue the trend of having just a single rear camera.
iPhone SE 4 to support Apple Intelligence
The iPhone SE four is also rumored to support Apple Intelligence, an on-device multimodal AI. This feature could potentially make the device more powerful than the iPhone 15, which does not include this technology due to its limited 6GB of RAM. The integration of Apple Intelligence into the new model signifies a significant upgrade in terms of processing capabilities, for the upcoming budget-friendly smartphone from Apple.
