#GetFitWithGoogle: Everything about Google Fit's New Year Challenge
With the onset of New Year, Google Fit is kicking off monthly challenges to help its users accomplish their fitness goals. The app is starting a 30-day-long New Year Challenge, where users are encouraged to increase their activity and stack up 'heart points' It has gone live and you can sign up for it right away. Here's more about the challenge.
What has to be done in the New Year Challenge?
In the first challenge, Fit users will have to stack up as many heart points as possible. For those who don't know, heart points are rewards, which will be given for every minute of intensive activity, be it running, cycling or just a brisk walk. Walking (100 steps) and cycling for a minute will get you 1 point, while running will get you 2.
First milestone would be 25 heart points
To get you started, Google has kept the first milestone of the challenge at 25 points. As you achieve this mark (with 25 minutes of walking/cycling or 13 minutes of running), you'll be given the next target of heart points, and the process will continue.
