After Trump, Musk invites Kamala Harris for interview on X
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has extended an invitation to US Vice President Kamala Harris for a live interview. The proposed discussion is set to take place on his social media platform X's "Spaces." This move follows Musk's two-hour-long interview with former US President Donald Trump, which attracted over 16.4 million real-time viewers.
Musk's invitation to Harris gains significant attention
Musk publicized his invitation to Harris through a post on X, stating, "Happy to host Kamala on an X Spaces too." The post quickly gained significant attention, amassing 2.5 million views and being reposted around 7,000 times within the first 40 minutes. This rapid response indicates a high level of public interest in the potential interview between Musk and Harris.
Trump's criticism of Harris and Biden
In his interview with Musk, Trump criticized Harris, labeling her as "fake" and "incompetent" in matters of border security. He also claimed that under President Joe Biden's rule, the number of illegal migrants crossing the US borders had increased. Trump further suggested that these migrants were "terrorists" in disguise.
Harris's campaign criticizes Musk and Trump post-interview
Following the interview, Harris's campaign issued a statement criticizing both Trump as well as Musk. The statement referred to Trump's extremism and his controversial Project 2025 agenda as a feature of his campaign. It also accused him of serving self-obsessed rich individuals like Musk who would sell out the middle class.
Musk accused of promoting Trump's agenda
Harris's campaign also accused Musk of attempting to seize control of democracy by hosting Trump for a conversation on X. They claimed that Musk was using his platform to spread Trump's unhinged and hateful agenda to millions of users. As of now, Harris has not yet responded to Musk's invitation for an interview.
