Disney and Warner team up to offer bundled streaming service
Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery have announced a groundbreaking partnership to offer a combined streaming package, featuring Disney+, Hulu, and Max. Set to launch this summer, the bundle will provide both ad-supported and ad-free options for subscribers. The exact pricing details are yet to be disclosed but insiders hint at competitive rates. Under this agreement, Disney will manage distribution and share a portion of subscription revenues with Warner Bros. Discovery.
Extensive content selection in new streaming bundle
The combined services of Disney+, Hulu, and Max will offer subscribers a wide range of content from popular networks. These include ABC, Fox, TNT, TBS, CNN, Discovery Channel, Food Network, and Disney Channel among others. This partnership is the latest in a series of collaborations between Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery as they adapt to the evolving television consumption landscape.
Sports streaming service in the pipeline
In addition to the entertainment bundle, Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney's ESPN are teaming up with Fox Corp. to launch a sports streaming service this fall. Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch hinted at this development during a recent earnings call, suggesting that it might be included in future entertainment streaming bundles. However, ESPN+ is not part of the newly announced Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney bundle.
