As the latest addition to its Inspiron 5000-series of laptops, Dell has launched the Inspiron 5480 and Inspiron 5580 in India. The Inspiron 5480 comes with a 14-inch display whereas the Inspiron 5580 features 15.6-inch display. Both the laptops sport slimmer bezels, 8th-generation Intel Core CPUs, and come with Dell Cinema for an immersive 'personal theater experience'. Here's our roundup.

Both the laptops feature slimmer bezels, brushed aluminum body, a fingerprint reader concealed within the power key, and optional backlit keyboard. The Inspiron 5480 sports a 14.0-inch full-HD (1920x1080) anti-glare LED IPS display while Inspiron 5580 gets a 15.6-inch full-HD display. The smaller 14-inch model comes in Platinum Silver or Burgundy Red colors while the larger model is available in Platinum Silver or Ink colors.

Both the laptops come with 8th-generation Whiskey Lake CPUs, available in Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 CPUs option. These Inspiron 5000 series models come with upto 32GB DDR4 RAM (Intel Optane memory available on select models) and upto 2TB internal storage (1TB on 14-inch model). Further, both of them run Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Home Plus, depending on the processor.

As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the laptops feature an HDMI 1.4a port, a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C, two USB 3.1 Gen 1, one USB 2.0, a headphone jack, an RJ45 port and an SD reader.
