Dell has unveiled the updated Alienware m15 and Alienware m17 gaming laptops at Computex 2019. The new models feature a slimmer design, improved thermal management, and top-of-the-line internals including 9th-generation octa-core Intel processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX series graphics. New Alienware laptops offer slimmer design, improved thermal architecture
The new Alienware laptops, featuring a magnesium build, are a tad thinner and lighter than the previous models. Dell has also introduced an improved thermal architecture with the Cryo-Tech Cooling 3.0 technology which allows for better airflow and heat management. Further, they also get an all-new keyboard with 0.2mm dish-concave key design, per-key RGB LED lighting, and a new precision-point glass touchpad.
Alienware m15: At a glance
The Alienware m15 offers a 15.6-inch display with upto 4K resolution, 60Hz refresh rate (high refresh rate on full-HD models), upto 1ms response time, and Tobii eye-tracking technology. It is powered by upto 9th-Generation Intel Core i9-9980HK processor, paired with upto 16GB RAM, 4TB of SSD and upto NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and Max-Q Design.
Here's what you get with Alienware m17
The Alienware m17 features a 17.3-inch display with a full-HD resolution, upto 144Hz refresh rate, 9ms response time, as well as EyeSafe and Tobii eye-tracking technology. Internally, it offers the same hardware as the M15 with upto 9th-Generation Intel Core i9-9980HK processor, upto 16GB RAM, 4TB of SSD and upto NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and Max-Q Design.
Everything to know about Dell's new G series gaming laptops
As an upgrade to its G-series gaming laptops, Dell has announced G3 15, Dell G7 15 and Dell G7 17 models. Dell G7 models now offer upto 9th-generation Intel Core i9 processor, upto 32GB of RAM and upto NVIDIA GTX RTX 2080 GPU. The Dell G7 15 offers a full-HD display with upto 144Hz refresh rate or a 4K display with 60Hz refresh rate.
Pricing and availability
The Alienware m15 and m17 come at a starting price of $1,499 (Rs. 1,05,000) and will go on sale in the US starting June 11. The Dell G series is currently available in the US with the G3 15 starting at $799 (Rs. 56,000), the Dell G7 15 at $899 (Rs. 63,000), and the Dell G7 17 at $1,199 (Rs. 84,000).
