Circle to Search now identifies music on Samsung devices
Samsung Galaxy users with Circle to Search functionality rejoice! The latest update brings exciting news - Circle to Search can now identify music playing around you. This feature is similar in function to the popular app, Shazam. However, it is integrated within the existing Circle to Search tool on Samsung devices. It is currently available on devices with version 15.32.37.28 of the Google app, which powers Circle to Search.
Feature availability depends on Google's server-side switch
The availability of this new feature is not guaranteed for all Samsung devices with the specified version of the Google app. This is due to its rollout being managed by Google, which may involve a server-side switch. It could take some time before every Samsung device with Circle to Search receives this update, as it depends on when Google decides to activate it.
How does the new feature work?
Once the music recognition feature is activated, users will notice a new button with a music note in their Circle to Search tool. Tapping this button allows the tool to identify any song playing either on the device itself or nearby. Interestingly, it can also recognize songs if users sing them or hum their tunes. This enhancement aims to provide an alternative to standalone apps like Shazam, within a tool that many Samsung users already utilize.
