Nothing integrates ChatGPT to its product lineup via software update
Nothing has introduced its latest software update, Nothing OS 2.5.5, for the Phone (2), introducing several enhancements including the integration of ChatGPT. This update is expected to be extended to other models, Phone (1) and Phone (2a), later this month. The new features include support for Android's Ultra HDR, now "Ultra XDR" on Nothing devices, a RAM booster option, and new recorder and battery widgets.
ChatGPT integration is the standout feature
The highlight of Nothing OS 2.5.5 is the integration of ChatGPT into Nothing's product lineup. The Phone (2) will offer two ChatGPT widgets—one for voice input and the other for text. There's also a button on the screenshot and clipboard pop-up to directly paste that content to a new chat in ChatGPT. Impressively, the ChatGPT integration also extends to the Ear and Ear (a). Once paired with a Nothing phone, users can engage in voice conversations with ChatGPT through earbuds.
Additional features and enhancements
Besides ChatGPT integration, Nothing OS 2.5.5 also brings improvements to camera functionality with Ultra XDR mode, and an HDR switch for Photo and Portrait modes. Other notable features include a Ring Mode in Quick Settings for sound management. The update also enhances system stability while optimizing NFC, Wi-Fi connectivity, volume settings, and overall performance.
