This super-exclusive 1kg 24-carat gold iPhone costs Rs. 1.15 crore
Russian luxury brand Caviar is out with a limited-edition iPhone 12 Pro which carries an astronomical price-tag of Rs. 1.15 crore. What's so special? Well, it is a 1kg ingot of the purest solid gold (24-carat) with the standard functions of a smartphone. However, you cannot use the rear cameras since they are blocked by the slab of gold.
Specifications-wise, it is same as the standard iPhone 12 Pro
The special Caviar iPhone 12 Pro has a wide notch on the front for Face ID gadgetry and a gold-covered frame. While the standard model has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, Caviar is not making any such claims about its product. The handset bears a 6.1-inch Full-HD+ (1170x2532 pixels) OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and HDR10 support.
The phone has a 12MP selfie snapper
The regular iPhone 12 Pro packs a triple rear camera module comprising a 12MP (f/1.6) primary sensor, a 12MP (f/2.0) telephoto lens, a 12MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide camera, and a LiDAR scanner. For selfies, it offers a 12MP (f/2.2) front-facing camera.
It draws power from an A14 Bionic processor
Apple iPhone 12 Pro is powered by an A14 Bionic chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It runs on iOS 14 and packs a 2,815mAh battery with 20W wired and 15W MagSafe wireless charging support. In terms of connectivity, the device offers support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, 5G, and a Lightning port.
For Android lovers, there is pure gold S21 Ultra model
Alongside the special iPhone 12 Pro, Caviar has introduced a limited-run S21 Ultra model. It is also made from purest solid gold (24-carat) and looks like a bar of gold from the rear side. The total weight of gold used is 1kg.
