BSNL's Rs. 899 half-yearly plan offers 270GB data, unlimited calling
In India's highly-competitive telecommunications sector, BSNL is upping the ante against major private players like Reliance Jio, Vodafone-Idea, and Bharti Airtel. In the latest development, the state-run telco has introduced a new half-yearly prepaid plan of Rs. 899 to offer its customers a total data benefit of 270GB along with unlimited calling option. Here are the details about the plan.
What's are the benefits of BSNL's Rs. 899 prepaid pack?
BSNL's new Rs. 899 prepaid recharge plan comes with a validity of 180 days. Under this plan, users will get 1.5GB daily data which translates to a total data benefit of 270GB. Further, this plan also offers unlimited calling benefits (local + national) and 50 daily SMSes for the aforementioned validity period.
But, the plan comes with some limitations
As of now, this new half-yearly prepaid plan is active in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circles only. Moreover, the unlimited calling benefit is not applicable to New Delhi and Mumbai circles. In these two MTNL-managed regions, standard tariff rates will apply.
BSNL also offers a Rs. 999 half-yearly prepaid plan
Meanwhile, BSNL also offers Rs. 999 half-yearly plan which is available across India. This plan offers 1.5GB daily data, 100 daily SMSes and unlimited voice calling across all circles (including Mumbai and New Delhi) for a total of 180 days. Moreover, as part of BSNL's Bumper Data offer, users will get extra 2.1GB extra data till January 31.
Reliance Jio also offers a half yearly prepaid recharge plan
Reliance Jio also offers a half-yearly prepaid plan of Rs. 1,999 but it's not as aggressively priced as BSNL's 999 pack. Under this pack, Jio offers total data benefit of 125GB, unlimited voice calling, and 100 daily SMSes for a total of 180 days. Additionally, the Rs. 1,999 plan also offers a complimentary subscription to Jio Apps.
