Bose launches new Alexa-powered Home Speaker and Soundbars in India
US-based company Bose, known for its speakers, has launched its latest smart home speaker and two soundbars in India. As of now, all three products support Alexa voice but other smart assistants will be added later, according to the company. Notably, each device comes equipped with an eight-microphone array for far-field voice recognition and supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for easy connectivity. Here's our roundup.
Bose Home Speaker 500: At a glance
The Bose Home Speaker 500 is claimed to deliver "the widest soundstage of any smart speaker available today". The speaker features an aluminum body that packs two oppositely-positioned custom drivers and a small display (not a touchscreen) that shows album art of the playing song. Further, all control buttons are mounted on top. The speaker also comes with AUX input.
Bose Soundbar 700 and Soundbar 500
The 38-inch long Bose Soundbar 700 features a metal grille with a tempered glass plate on top, whereas the smaller Soundbar 500 gets a matte finish. Alongside Alexa support, both the soundbars come packed with acoustic technologies such as Bose DSP, QuietPort and 'ADAPTiQ' that helps devices to "acoustically adjust to their surroundings". Further, they can be wall-mounted or paired for a 5.1-channel experience.
Pricing and Availability
The Bose Home Speaker 500 is priced at Rs. 39,000 whereas the Bose Soundbar 500 and Bose Soundbar 700 cost Rs. 59,000 and Rs. 79,000, respectively. All the three devices are available via several offline retailers such as Bose stores, Croma, Reliance, Lulu, and Vijay Sales.
