2018 BMW X1 sDrive20d M Sport launched for Rs. 41.50lakh
As the latest addition to its X1 lineup, BMW has launched the X1 sDrive20d M Sport in India. Priced at Rs. 41.50 lakh, this new trim sits below the top-end xDrive20d M Sport which is available at Rs. 44.50 lakh. The BMW sDrive20d M Sport gets some cosmetic updates but retains the engine seen on the lower-spec xLine and Expedition models. Here's our roundup.
BMW X1 sDrive20d M Sport: At a glance
The X1 sDrive20d M Sport looks identical to the top-end xDrive20d M Sport trim. Up front, the car sports the iconic kidney grille which has been exclusively designed in black gloss finish and the M logo on the front fender. The car also features the M Aerodynamic package with a front apron, side skirts, wheel arch trims, rear apron with dark metallic diffuser inserts.

Inside the cabin, the car gets standard X1 features such as digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lighting, rear parking sensors with a camera, and auto-dimming mirrors. Moreover, this trim offer extra space, thanks to a 40:60 split with joint rear seats. Notably, there are no Heads-Up Display (HUD) and the touchscreen infotainment is now smaller at 6.6-inches.
Under the hood
The BMW X1 sDrive20d M Sport is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that can generate a maximum power of 190bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm. The engine comes mated to an 8-Speed automatic transmission which powers the front wheels. Notably, this trim does not come with BMW's all-wheel-drive (AWD) system that's available on the xDrive20d M Sport.
