BMW cars have high-gloss exterior, 19-inch alloy wheels
The new M3 sedan and M4 coupe sport a high-gloss exterior in black finish. The Competition Package includes an exhaust system which has black, chrome tailpipes and an innovative flap concept. Both the car models feature 19-inch M light alloy wheels with double-spoke styling, new hexagonal adaptive LED headlights, L-shaped tail lamps with full-LEDs, and a carbon roof.
Classic M-themed interior features a chrome instrument cluster
The interior of the two cars is defined by the classic M-themed orientation. The sporty and plush cabin has a round instrument cluster in new chrome elements, M leather steering wheel with shift paddles, and M gearshift lever with 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Competition Package includes lightweight M sport seats, seat belts with woven-in M stripes, and other premium quality materials.
The cars can achieve 0-100 km/h in 4 seconds
The 2018 M3 sedan and M4 coupe have last year's same three-liter, six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo inline engine with the capability of 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 550 Nm. However, with the Competition Package, the engine output has increased to 331 kW/450 hp. The high-performance cars can go from 0 to 100 in 4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 250 km/hr.
Cars come in three driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Sport+
The two vehicles also feature a number of intelligent safety features like air bags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including the M Dynamic mode, and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The Competition Package aims to further minimize risk with an Adaptive M Suspension package featuring new springs, dampers, and anti-roll bars. Notably, the cars come in three driving modes of Comfort, Sport, and Sport+.
