Gaming-centric Black Shark 2 to launch on May 27
Xiaomi-funded smartphone maker Black Shark is all set to launch its gaming-centric Black Shark 2 in India on May 27. The key highlights of the phone include its pressure-sensitive AMOLED display, dedicated liquid cooling technology, a 48MP dual rear camera and top-end internals including Snapdragon 855 chipset. The Black Shark 2 sports a notch-less display with prominent bezels around it. The phone features a 6.39-inch full HD+ AMOLED display, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 81.7% screen-to-body ratio along with Liquid Cool 3.0 technology for enhanced heat dissipation. Lastly, it houses an in-screen fingerprint sensor and Magic Press technology that lets you configure pressure sensitivity on the display.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Black Shark 2 houses a dual rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 12MP (f/2.2) secondary sensor. Up front, the phone features a 20MP (f/2.0) camera for selfies. Moreover, the main camera is capable of recording 2160p videos at 30fps while the selfie camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
Under the hood
The Black Shark 2 is powered by flagship Snapdragon 855 processor, paired with Adreno 640 GPU, upto 12GB RAM, and upto 256GB of internal storage. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support and runs Android Pie. Further, the phone comes equipped with all the standard sensors and connectivity options including Dual SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port.
And, what will be the pocket pinch?
In China, the Black Shark 2 starts at CNY3,200 (Rs. 32,500). However, the details about its pricing in India will be revealed during the launch event itself. It will lock horns with gaming smartphones like ASUS ROG phone and OnePlus 7 Pro in the country.
