Developers bring major changes to Battlefield V after beta
Battlefield V is scheduled to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 20. The open beta ended ten days ago. The game developers, recently, discussed the feedback they have received after gamers tested the gameplay and how they were planning to introduce changes to the multiplayer game for smoother experience, before the official launch. Read about all the changes being brought.
No developer likes to put gamers at a disadvantage
One of the biggest complaints during the beta was regarding attrition, that is, having limited ammunition and being unable to fully generate health. Fans had a love-hate reaction to it, but most agreed it should stay if tweaks were made to what players spawned with. Developers are considering adding more ammunition, med-pack and higher bullet capacity to address this issue.
Developers trying to reach a middle ground
The developers are trying to reach a middle ground to satisfy players with time to death and time to kill. Most players were keeping to covers to deal with the incredibly fast time to death. In one update, there was also a net-code issue, coupled with in-game delays and high firing rate drastically. This dealt more damage and reduced time to death.
Other changes being brought
As with most games in beta, some weapons dealt more damage than they should. These super effective high powered weapons will be rebalanced, which is a more formal term for being nerfed down. The developers will also address visibility issues by improving lighting in some parts of the map. Most notably, they will add a background haze to make characters stand out.
