B&O's new $1,550 headphones blend luxury and modular design
Bang & Olufsen, a renowned name in the luxury audio industry, has unveiled its latest flagship noise-cancelling headphones, the Beoplay H100. Priced at $1,549 (roughly ₹1.15 lakh), this new model is the Danish brand's most expensive headphones yet and succeeds the highly successful Beoplay H95 model. With its modular design, cutting-edge technology, and exquisite materials, the Beoplay H100 offers a premium audio experience built for longevity, catering to discerning consumers.
Beoplay H100: A blend of luxury and technology
The Beoplay H100 headphones are a testament to Bang & Olufsen's commitment to using premium materials in their products. The ear pads are made from lambskin leather, while aluminium and knitted cloth add to the overall aesthetic appeal. A unique feature is the scratch-resistant glass touch interface located on the outer side of the ear cups, inspired by fine jewelry designs.
Beoplay H100 offers high-resolution audio and advanced features
The Beoplay H100 headphones are equipped with 40mm drivers, delivering sound clarity and dynamic performance. They support high-resolution audio for 96kHz/24-bit tunes and feature Dolby Atmos with head tracking. Additionally, Bang & Olufsen's adaptive audio technology, EarSense, monitors the fit of the headphones in real time to adjust the sound profile for an optimal listening experience.
Beoplay H100 doubles active noise cancelation performance
The Beoplay H100 headphones have significantly improved their active noise cancellation (ANC) performance, doubling that of the previous model, the H95. This enhancement is achieved through the use of 10 microphones, which also contribute to what Bang & Olufsen describes as its best transparency mode yet. A haptic dial on the outside of the ear cups allows users to adjust their preferred level of TrueTransparency.
Beoplay H100 headphones are designed for longevity
Bang & Olufsen has designed the Beoplay H100 headphones with a focus on longevity. The company aims to create products that can be updated for years before becoming obsolete, and are easy for technicians to service. The Beoplay H100 features a modular design, allowing for easy replacement or servicing of key components like the battery, audio drivers, ear cushions, and headband.
Beoplay H100 headphones offer advanced power management
The Beoplay H100 headphones feature advanced power management, similar to AirPods Max. When not in use but outside their carrying case, they enter a low-power mode that can last up to 90 days. However, if stored in their case, the headphones will fully power off. Despite these energy-saving measures, the H100 offers up to 34 hours of battery life with ANC on - four hours less than its predecessor, the more affordable H95.
