2018 Audi Q7, Audi Q3 Design Edition launched in India
As special variants of its luxury Q7 and Q3 SUVs, Audi has launched the new 'Design Edition' in India. Both the entry-level Q3 and top-end Q7 Design Edition get sportier cosmetic updates along with added luxury features. The Audi Q3 Design Edition comes at Rs. 40.76 lakh, while the Audi Q7 Design Edition will be available at Rs. 82.37 lakh (both ex-showroom prices).
Audi Q3 Design Edition: At a glance
The Audi Q3 Design Edition retains much of the features found on the Premium Plus trim such as 18-inch alloys, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, Audi's MMI infotainment system, power-adjustable front seats, and dual-zone climate control among others. However, in terms of updates, the new variant gets clear-lens taillights, 'quattro' decals on the side, illuminated door sills, Nappa leather upholstery and a coat hanger.
Audi Q3 Design Edition: Under the hood
The Audi Q3 Design Edition is offered in a diesel motor option only. The SUV is powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that generates 184bhp and 380Nm of maximum torque. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox which powers all the four wheels of the car. This special-edition Q3 offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 15.17kpl.
What's new in the Audi Q7 Design Edition?
The Audi Q7 Design Edition retains some standard Q7 features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlamps with DRLs, panoramic sunroof, and Audi's MMI infotainment system with navigation. And as part of the changes, this limited edition Q7 gets an exclusive deep bluish-green paint job, rear-seat entertainment system, smoked LED taillights, Audi-emblem decals on the D-pillar and an Audi-branded bag.
Audi Q7 Design Edition: Under the hood
The Audi Q7 Design Edition is available in both diesel and petrol motors with a rated fuel efficiency of 14.75kpl and 11.68kpl, respectively. The high-end Q7 gets a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which generates a maximum power of 252bhp. The diesel variant is powered by a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel motor which churns out 249bhp. Notably, both engines come paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission with AWD.
