ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2: Specifications, design and launch
Recently, ASUS Indonesia tweeted to confirm that its latest mid-range smartphone, the ZenFone Max Pro M2, will launch on December 11. The tweet also showcased a notched display and a multiple camera setup that was erroneously reported to comprise triple sensors. However, a hands-on video, which has now been taken down, confirmed a dual rear-camera setup on the upcoming ASUS smartphone. Here's our roundup.

ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2: At a glance
Up front, the M2 will feature a notched display with a slim bottom bezel - a depart from its predecessor's conventional notch-free display. On the back, the phone gets a new glass chassis that will house a dual rear-camera setup and fingerprint sensor. Further, the M2 is said to sport a 6.0-inch full-HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

The hands-on video not only confirms the presence of a dual rear-camera setup but also outs its specifications. According to the leak, the phone will sport a 12MP (f/1.8) Sony IMX486 primary sensor with PDAF and EIS, paired with a 5MP depth camera and an LED flash module. Up front, the M2 will have a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper with LED flash.
Under the hood
The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 64GB of expandable storage. In comparison, the ZenFone Max Pro M1 supports Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset. Further, like its predecessor, the M2 is likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery, support dual SIMs, and run stock Android.
Pricing and availability
According to the official tweet by ASUS Indonesia, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will launch in Indonesia on December 11. And while the phone's India launch date is not confirmed, we can expect ASUS to introduce the M2 in India soon after Indonesia launch. In terms of cost, in India we can expect the M2 to be priced around Rs. 15,000.
